After too many years of "we'll make the first one just as soon as we get an order" the RW-1.0 big reaction wheel is a reality. We are committed to flight unit delivery in November 2012. Look for EM hardware at Smallsat in August. Technical documentation will appear here on the web site as it is written.
The star tracker design continues to evolve. Eight ST-16-4 flight units with the revision 4 electronics have now shipped to customers. This is one of the smallest, lowest power star trackers on the market, and we believe it can enable a new class of missions.

The revision 5 star tracker electronics are now also available. These offer even greater speed, robustness and reliability. The command-to-shutter latency is reduced by 47 msec, compared to the revision 4. The internal wire harness is replaced with a flex circuit, removing any long-term concerns of red plague or fluorine generation. The computer memories are expanded to 512 MB of SDRAM and 512 MB of NAND flash allowing for expanded star catalogs and plenty of room for customer-specific code.
Industry standards evolve with time. Sinclair Interplanetary has migrated its J-STD-001 soldering quality system from revision D to E. Training to revision E and ES is now available.
