Sinclair Interplanetary can train and certify your workers in internationally recognized space-grade soldering practises. Doug Sinclair is a Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) for J-STD-001F "Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies" as well as J-STD-001FS, the space addendum. Training is available at your location, scheduled by mutual agreement. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 12 students.
Training consists of six modules:
- Introduction/Policy and Procedures/J-STD-001F Overview
- Wires and Terminals
- Through-Hole Technology
- Surface-Mount Technology
- Inspection Methodology
- Space Applications
Module 1 is mandatory. Modules 2, 3 and 4 include hands-on workmanship skills instruction and evaluation. Each module is concluded by a written multiple-choice test. All six modules can be completed in five days. It is also possible to train workers in a sub-set of the modules.
Satisfactory
completion of training will result in the award of Certified IPC
Specialist status. This is valid for 24 months, following which a two-day recertification course is required. For more information on
