Congratulations to JAXA on the launch and commissioning of the SDS-4 microsatellite. This spacecraft is an important Rosetta Stone for us, in that it carries both a Sinclair Interplanetary SS-411 sun sensor and a star tracker (from another vendor). This allows us for the first time to make very high accuracy measurements of the sun sensor performance on-orbit. Early indications are very good. July 12 is also the second birthday of AISSAT-1. This nanosatellite carries three RW-0.03 wheels, which continue to keep it pointed in the right direction. |
