New Tools

We have some fancy new equipment in the lab!

The first is a high vacuum chamber, large enough to hold an optical bench.  This lets us test star trackers down to 1E-7 Torr while they stare at multiple collimated laser targets.

The second is a reflow oven with nitrogen atmosphere.  This gives us complete control of our soldering processes.  The nitrogen prevents the formation of surface oxides, and allows us to minimize the time spent at high temperature.  The instrumentation package allows us to record the board temperature history for every reflow cycle, and append this information to the end-item data package.
