Another Successful Launch

While the Dragon capsule to the ISS claims the headlines, today's SpaceX Falcon-9 launch also carries the first ORBCOMM Generation 2 satellite.  This in turn carries two Sinclair Interplanetary SS-411 sun sensors and three TQ-40 torque rods.  In all, hardware for 18 ORBCOMM satellites has been delivered and they will be launched over the next few years.

Congratulations go out to ORBCOMM, SNC, SpaceX and NASA!

Edit: Oh dear.  Looks like OG2-1 ended up in a lower orbit than expected, reentering a few days after launch.  We'll hope for better luck with the remaining 17 satellites in the constellation.
